What I got from the video was that its better to learn and actually understand what you are reading. Having knowledge and vocabulary skills are helpful when reading a sentence. You get the full effect and understand where the writer is going with their words. I like in class that Dr. Sherry is very interactive and is all about what each person can take away from his classes. Any professor can have an English class and teach things that students will most likely forget. But he tries to do things different that will make us remember and also learn but in a fun kind of way. Learning when it comes to lectures doesn't really teach me all that much. It teaches memorization for me and I feel like that isn't really learning because most times I forget the information.
